The Tower House Granola - a powerful way to start your day.

I am ending our 2 weeks  of Immune Boosting Foods with The Tower House Granola, a powerful way to start your day.
I use just a little maple syrup to sweeten this. You can either use regular porridge or g/f porridge, whichever suits.
The problem with shop bought granolas is that they are laced with sugar. So whilst you think you are eating healthier, the truth is the opposite.

TOWER HOUSE GRANOLA

Ingredients:
Makes 15 servings.

300 grms porridge.
1 teaspoon nutmeg.
1 teaspoon turmeric.
1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Grated rind of 1 orange.
50 grms sunflower seeds.
50 grms pumpkin seeds.
100 grms dried fruit.
50 grms coconut flakes.
100 grms whole almonds.
Pinch of salt.
2 teaspoon vanilla.
125 grms maple syrup.
2 tablespoons rapeseed or olive oil.

Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 190 cen.
  2. Line a tray with parchment & pop on the porridge, spices, orange rind &  1 tablespoon of oil.
  3. Pop into the oven for about 15- 20 minutes. The aim here is to get the porridge oats nice & crispy.
  4. Remove from the oven & add the rest of the ingredients, mixing well.
  5. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, cool & put vinegar airtight container or ziplock bag.
  7. Will last 1 month, serve with Greek yogurt & fresh fruit.
